Obviously i understand the point of the map being undiscovered, and a town having to search and spend op energy to uncover it... BUT... Obviously in real life you could direct your agents to search north, south, east or west... or various degrees there in. Is there a way that could be incorporated?
As in you tell your agent to search F3 today. Obviously it would have to be a block that is next to a block that is already uncovered.
Just a thought :)

We have also been thinking about this. It would be cool if there was an advanced option by clicking on the undiscovered section you want to discover, and like you say it should be next to a discovered section.

We could then let the operation remain the same for simple use.

I bought this topic up mainly as it becomes a disadvantage to some, because one can not invite clan members when you cant see their towns.
However, it does add another random value to the game with the fact that some clans will not get to full strength until later in the game, when they eventually find their members. And it does give some clans an advantage from early game because they are near their clan members and reveal them early! So there is a plus and negative value to the randomness of the current system.
I think it bears some input from other people in the forum!
