1/3rd Points rule not working properly.

Week 1032: The forces of Jacksonville have attacked the town of Trumpwood resulting in a major defeat, body count is expected to reach up to 1899

Despite the fact I did win this battle, that is beside the point. This is the second time this town has purchased a mass quantity of troops and before the week ended, sent them out to attack my town. Then jump up beyond my ability to counter attack by going high enough in points to get the 1/3 protection. Then three weeks later arrives at my town, to which I cannot even ambush his convoy because of the 1/3rd rule. Then proceeds to attack me, despite me clearly being below his attack threshold.

In retrospect, possibly this town should have waited to amass enough black market goods to jump from 80,000 to 120,000 and then possibly he would be able to win a battle and not need 1/3rd protection from me?

With your current post he and know information these are the facts that I can clearly see:

Jacksonville: 97935
Trumpwood: 73411

Restriction on attack is 1/3rd above and 2/3rds below (Though I have noted that 2/3rds is not working properly or Im doing my math wrong, I have yet to comment on it because in previous forums I see this moving to 1/3rd and 1/3rd)

Trumpwood can attack players up till 97881.3333333 or 73411* 1.33333333333333 (3 repeating or 4/3).
Hence Jacksonville being out of range at 97935

Jacksonville however can attack below him till 65290 or 97935 *.666666666666667 (or 2/3).
Well within the range of attacking trumpwood.

The formula is working. Just not in your favor.

Just another reason to do away with the whole points level restrictions and keep to a basic, time frame protection. Hell you've got three servers one for easy, one for mid, and one for hard. The timed protection is all you need. In K1 if you reach level 30 - 36, most of your troops have been discovered, and you can capture acres, you can now attack those level 30 and up. In K2 and K3, you're a seasoned player, have at thee.

Nah the formula works as intended. Jacksonville did need to be protected from me. XD

It is just tiresome to play legit and create your town from scratch and have no recourse for retaliation. What was the devs thinking? Seriously.
