Update for next round

Hi everyone,

Today we are revealing some of the changes we have in store for next round. More details will follow in the coming days but here is a short list:

Update for 1-10-2015
- Players starting the game later will now receive extra resources to give them a more fair chance of achieving something.
- Refineries built in your town will now produce 100 fuel each tick instead of 50.
- You can now manually increase you defcon level on the townhall page, costing operation energy.
- Your defcon level now also affects your locations, protecting them against enemy operations.
- When you are at war and someone sends a peace offer, the town icons remain red until peace is accepted.
- You can now decline a peace offer.
- Formula for overbuilt modifier changed, 8 extra buildings each level instead of 6.
- You now receive a extra reward every level gained (mainly operation energy).
- When multiple attack convoys of your town or locations reach a similar target, you can merge them into a single convoy before you attack.
- Highest townlevel has been increased to 36, with 6 more missions (more details will be revealed later).
- When you have reached level 36 a research tab will become available. There will be 16 different kinds of research available giving bonusses to your buildings or troops (more details will be revealed later).
- Many other minor bugs fixed.

I like the research one, but i've a question, does the 9th update apply to convoys sent by clan mates?

No at this moment only attack convoys of your own can be merged.

For the marketplace, the prices only need to display 4 decimal places for precision. And when on a numeric entry field, my phone browser assumes text entry when bringing up text keyboard instead of the numbers. They may be heavily dependent on the different browsers.

Actually Seeking more brings up a point i was thinking about, any chance of incorporating a numeric keypad drop down on any thing that requires input of numbers?
Its not a big thing, but thought it may make it easier for users... So they can still us the numbers on their pc's for manual input, but a drop down numeric box would allow a user to just use the mouse to add number entries! Just a thought! :)

I really like this change, thanks Ronald. As it stands now, its next to impossible to make a impact on the game starting mid way through. Glad to see you are working to balance the game more, thanks.

Also I have one suggestion.

"Week 1320: The town of Citagrad has been resigned from the game due inactivity"

Currently I think its too short of a time. If I go on holiday, I could be resigned from the game. I wish if you knew that you would not be able to play for 2 weeks or a bit more to be able to stop this from happening. It would encourge people to stick with the game more in my opinion

I agree with ice eve. To many people drop off to quickly.
Maybe if the round is set to one month, then any town that joins stays on the map.
If nothing else they can become cannon fodder... As in after an absence of 2 weeks they can be attacked by anyone (no point value system) Then anyone can get resources from the attacks on them... if they come back, they have a town that is completely crushed. And possibly a message should be sent to clan leaders (if they are in clans) saying that there has been no activity from The town of BlahBlah for 2 weeks! Or maybe the ability for clan leaders to take over a town that is in their clan that leaves?
OR and heres a risky suggestion, any town that leaves for 2 weeks suddenly becomes a bandit town, with the same capture facilities that are found with acres!
So we can then capture and own other towns!

That's a nice idea, but what decides whether it becomes an acre with plains, forests, mountains or gold mines?

The away timeout should be extended to keep players in the game. And the the Post button on this message board should be in the lower left, like in the game. It also makes it easier on mobile browsers.

Thank you all for the feedback, i think we should introduce some kind of 'Holiday' feature. Which gives you the ability to lock down your account for lets say a minimum of 5 days and more. (since else people will start abusing it)

Also i will increase the time when people get resigned automatically from 5 days to 7.

I will see if i can get the post button fixed asap (fixed)
