Nuclear bomb!

I think it would be a good idea to have, in some random military base or Capital, a nuclear bomb!

What do you guys think about it?


It could possibly destroy up to nine (because it is in the middle of where you launched it and it destroys its detonation point and anything surrounding it) squares and the players that were killed in the blast would have to restart of course.

The map could only have ONE of these devices and could obviously only be used once.

That seems a little unfair on 9 people. Imagine if you are in a town next to the enemy town that is targeted! Suddenly you are gone from the game and you did nothing to deserve it! hmmmm thumbs down on that idea!

No, I mean nine map tiles. It could only be used once any how and would be SUPER rare to find. You would only be able to use it once anyhow so I think it would be a cool thing to have.

Its a cool idea but people would wait until the end just to wipe out the people ahead of them in ranking 1 click from the end of the game

Yes, but still... If 100 people are playing, all of a sudden one person has a massive advantage over 99 players? Wheres the balance?
Possibly Nukes could be introduced, but it would have to be in a way that any town could build anti nukes, with a delay and warning before a strike and the possibility of a counter strike if the attacked town has built their own nukes! Then sure!

Yeah, thumbs down on that idea. If the player already has the strength to attain one by capturing the base, it would be adding insult to injury for anyone to have that much power, (the power to wipe out someone's blood, sweat, and tears, ... make that just sweat and tears ;) .. ) . But to wipe out someone completely is way too extreme.

I can't even agree with one town because then you could find someone like climb on from last round who has like 300k points and then if someone with like 160k points somehow managed to obtain it they could wipe him completely out... that's a lot of work to lose for anyone and completely unfair.

My Idea (about this idea)

SUMMERY:
1. 3 different towns must complete fairground research mission (requiring a large amount of resources or a high population or other)for "Tactical Nuke".

2. If completed a town will gain one-third of a tactical nuke.

3. No town can have more than one tactical nuke part.

4. To gain the ability to use the "Plant Tactical Nuke Part" special operation the sending/receiving town must have a score above 70k.

5. The "Plant Tactical Nuke Part" special operation requires 1500 operation energy.

6. The "Plant Tactical Nuke Part" special operation's success is determined the same way as all other special operations.

7. If the Special operation agent is killed the receiving town gains the sending town's nuke part.

8. Once all 3 Tactical Nuke Parts are planted on the same town the nuke detonates.

9. Once detonated the receiving town's army units are destroyed and half of the town's population is killed.

10. The destruction to the town's buildings caused by the nuke will be determined the same way the "Fire missile" Special Operation does.

11. All attempts to plant a nuke part are displayed on the fairground news.

12. A town will only be named on fairground news if an agent dies attempting the operation or a nuke is detonated.

13. If nuke is detonated then all 3 towns will be named.

EXTRA IDEAS
1. Depending on Tech Tree choice (Extremist, Socialist, and Liberal) some of your citizen or military units will abandon a sending town once a nuke is detonated (this may require the implementation of a citizen happiness meter, so this is optional).

2. Radiation may occur and cause famine on receiving town (may take some work, but i could be implemented by use of the daily random event. so the event only has a chance of occurring after receiving a nuke detonation).
2.5 Town citizens can die from "a mysterious illness" (AKA Radiation) if a nuke part is planted.

3. Nuke parts can be traded

slendy's idea about the nuke is WAAAAAY more balanced than the original. It could work.

Slendy, you explained my idea much more than I could. I love it! I hope a moderator could get this into the game next season.
